Simply priceless

Some things in our life are really very special and invaluable. How rich you become some things can't be bought with money only. We always recall such things and are always eager to do them/visit those places. One need to experience the joy, the energy, the enthusiasm or the satisfaction from inside. Lets list out these things.
(Would NOT list any of Special food items made by Mom/Better Half/Bhabhi as the list would be infinitely big!! )

• The first Rain and the fragrance of soil ..
• Going on mountain/fort/jungle which is covered with fog..
• Seating peacefully besides Khadakwasla (or for that matter any nice Lake/River/) Dam at the time of Sunrise or Sunset...
• Cycling in IIT campus..
• Writing a poem..
• Visiting/Exploring the new places, cultures, people..
• Having a coffee party at a Tapari(small road-side shop) near the company on the occasion of birthday of someone from the group..
• Listening to nice soothing/rhythmic/peaceful/energetic kind of music according to kind of situation..
• Sleeping on a khat(Bed) outside the house in a village while looking at the open Sky...
• Running/Walking on the beach..
• Zunka Bhakari and Bhajji at the top of Sinhgad..
• Masala Dosa at 2/3am in IIT night canteen..
• Having a dish full of deserts !! :)
• And finally capturing all these memories with a camera....
  

These all above things are very special and some of these are very special in that specific combination! For example, seating at a Dam at Sunrise or Sunset adds such a nice effect which would not come at some other time.

Everyone would have their own list which would overlap partially/fully with other friends. Also while revisiting such things we automatically recall the friends who had accompanied us.

I know I might have forgotten some more priceless things, would try to add them whenever I recall them.
I would like to urge all of you to take some time to make a list of Priceless things as well as a list of Special Days and do share it with your dear ones.. Also I hope that this list grows continuously more and more for everyone..

A special Day !

There are some memorable days for each one of us. Birthdays are default ones! Its a big list including own, parent's, siblings', spouse's, friends' birthday; wedding anniversaries.... These all days have a very straight forward reason of celebration.

Apart from these days, there are some days which we remember forever. If you have seen Hindi movie "Bluffmaster", then you'd recall the dialog near Gateway from Boman Irani who asks Abhishek Bachhan - "how many days of your 30 years life are really memorable ? It must not be more than 30 days. What you have done in rest of the life !! " This very dialog makes him as well as all viewers think.

If I think about me then I would list some of following days -
(I am not listing any birthday or anniversary here, they are naturally memorable !)

• 25th January - My first plane journey
• 15th March - GATE resultes were out & my post-grad admission was almost fixed !
• 15, 16th March - I successfully finished one Mission(!)
• 13th May - My first journey to abroad!
• 10th July - I left my first company!
• 29th July - I joined my first company!
• 30th Sept - Plenty of reasons to cherish this day ! Moved out of the hometown for the first time for starting graduation studies.... I got my first job offer.... & most importantly its my late Father's birthday....
• 11th October - I met my life partner for the first time !

These are the great days which gave memorable turns to our life and made us reach here.. Just imagine once what if any one of these days didn't exist !!

I hope that this list would expand to 366 days !!
wish that every day when I wake up I should have memories of that day to ponder upon..

Following is my original Marathi poem which I translated into English poem "Life" which I posted in my first post. This was my first poem in Adulthood ! Many of you must be remembering my childish poems which I did composed previous to this :P

श्री गणेशा !

श्री गणेशा !

As per our Indian tradition we start every new work by writing "श्री गणेशा" (Shri Ganesha).
So now I am starting my second blog, first one was Protocols which is pure technical stuff. On the other hand this blog would be pure non-tech, its just to write about our journey of life in the search of Bliss & Ecstasy !

Following is the poem I wrote sometime back. The blog name came from this poem.

Life…..


What is life?
a sailboat in an ocean of sadness,
I am searching for a shore,
for bliss, for ecstasy;
Yes, I persevere in search of such a shore…


What did I get from life?
My road was full of potholes,
troubles always followed me,
pain of separation leaves me sad,
strength to move forward wallows,
I crave to cry out in indignation;
Yes, I have to search the way to happiness…


What life gave me?
love of treasured ones,
enduring solidarity of friends,
pure-hearted people;
What did I achieve?
What am I giving?
Yes, I want to find the answer…


I want to see a happy world..
I want to get a place in everybody’s heart..
The world has to become a utopia..
Yes, I look for Midas to change the world……
